Agria Pet Insurance has a fantastic opportunity for a Compliance Monitoring Officer to join the team. The role will be hybrid based, working 2 days in the office and 3 days at home; however, there is an option to work from the office 5 days a week, if preferred. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

About the role:
As our Compliance Monitoring Officer, you will report to the Compliance Manager and be responsible for providing compliance assurance to the business through analysis and monitoring of processes and products ensuring these are in line with all relevant regulations and internal standards.
You will manage your own workload ensuring the objectives of the compliance monitoring plan are delivered on time. Whilst also developing and establishing effective, strong relationships with different areas of the business in order to achieve department and business objectives.
Responsibilities as our Compliance Monitoring Officer will include:
Keeping abreast of emerging risks both internally and externally ensuring appropriate action is taken to accommodate effective management of these risks
Guiding the effectiveness of systems and controls in line with business and regulatory requirements
Preparing reports and MI performed for senior management, attending senior management meetings when required to present findings and recommendations
Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements under rules such as FCA Handbook, Insurance Distribution Directive and Data Protection legislation
Carry out regular compliance monitoring reviews of insurance sales, customer service and claims across all products; identifying gaps and making recommendations for actions to mitigate risks
Be fully conversant and ensure all company and departmental policies, procedures and standards are always adhered to
Carry out additional duties requested by a member of the management team, as the requirements of the business demand
Attend training, meetings, and company events as required
Complying with the company Health and Safety policies and procedures
What we are looking for in our Compliance Monitoring Officer:
Experience within a financial services role
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed processes
Undertaken a role in a monitoring or audit function and used to ensuring quality control against agreed standards and procedures
Capable of producing and presenting reports and MI in a clear and professional manner
The ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders of all levels within the business
Good knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications
Ability to prioritise workloads and use your own initiative
Ability to work to agreed performance targets
Versatile, with the ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of a rapidly developing business
Ability to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours to meet business needs
