Role Summary
 
We are looking for people who are passionate about improving the customer experience and who enjoy working within a group to proactively solve problems. Candidates must have previous experience working with multi-tenant software solutions.
 
This is a wide and varied role that crosses all elements of production hosting including OS, database, and security. It will enable you will work alongside the Support and Cloud Service teams to ensure that we are able to meet the demand and requirements of our customers.
 
Good communication, planning, problem solving, and teamwork are essential in this role.
 
Responsibilities

Maintaining our production systems on all environments globally, across multiple cloud providers.
Webserver administration, parameter tuning, virtual host configuration, key and certification management.
Working with the Engineering and Customer Support teams to resolve incidents and to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Monitoring online services, applications and performance and taking necessary action to ensure SLA’s are met or exceeded.
Automation of manual tasks & processes – removing waste & manual process.
Seeing tasks through to completion.

Requirements:
Essential

Strong Linux Systems Administration experience
Apache / Nginx administration
Use and configuration of databases
Eligibility to work in the UK
Understanding of Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, OCI) Desirable

Educated to degree level or an equivalent in an IT related discipline
Understanding and skills with either Ruby, PHP or JAVA
Working with automation tooling (Chef, Ansible, Jenkins)
General Windows Server Administration
Understanding security technologies and practices
Knowledge of Agile or working with Agile teams Advantageous

Working knowledge of Caching technologies (Redis, memcache)
Message Queues (rabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
Working knowledge of micro services architecture
