Cloud Engineer

£50-60K plus extensive benefits package

Working from home with 3 days per month in Milton Keynes

Position summary:

Our client is currently recruiting for a talented and organised Cloud Engineer, with extensive experience with Azure.

If it takes seriously complex IT systems to keep your organisational skills challenged, and you have never encountered a network you did not want to improve, then our client could use your talents as a Cloud Engineer.

To be successful in this role:

You will be an experienced and confident Cloud Engineer who is able to demonstrate the following:

* Strong knowledge on Azure services in compute, storage, networking, infrastructure as a code and Azure Active Directory

* Should have good Knowledge on Azure Infra (VM, VNet, AD, Security, log analytics, Azure site Recovery Etc

* Setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Git

Desirable (but not essential)

* Extensive experience of Microsoft cloud technology infrastructure design, configuration and support

* Strong IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible to provision cloud services

* Strong experience in Linux and Windows Operating systems

* AZ Certified engineer, preferable

* Exposure to other cloud services like AWS

* Comfortable in a working from home environment

As an experienced Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for:

* Analysis and Design – being able to transform high-level design into low-level design, and implementation

* Working with team leads to properly define/clarify business requirements, development estimation, and work plan finalization

* Implementation of cloud services IaaS / PaaS like Virtual machines, AKS, API management, ACR, Storage, Database etc using Terraform and Ansible

* Configure network, connectivity and security

* Building CI / CD pipelines

* Monitoring and performing housekeeping activities like patching, security reviews and policy adherence

* Implementing security and protect identities

* Assisting other teams with troubleshooting problems that may arise from applications or integration of various components

* Ensuring good communication between various delivery functions and clients, both internal and external

* This Cloud Engineer role is also working from home.
