We are recruiting for one of the worlds largest and leading global banks based in Buckinghamshire who have kick-started a new digital transformation programme. In light of this new programme our client are looking for Cloud Data Engineers to bolster their Cloud Data Engineering team.
The successful Cloud Data Engineer will have, but not be limited to, the following key responsibilities:
* Solve data engineering challenges around ingestion, automation, pipelines, lakes and acquisition/storing.
* Migration of Data from On Prem to Cloud using AWS.
* Identify any faults or opportunities within the Data Ecosystem and employ new solutions, leading the end to end delivery of them to enhance business outcome and achieve goals in relation to business ethos.
* Ensure your strong background and functional knowledge is utilised to communicate objectives, problems and solutions.
Key Skills also needed include:
* Strong experience in AWS environment's are vital.
* Experience of working with some form of data migration or in a data oriented environment is also essential, preferably on prem to cloud.
* Strong knowledge and at least 3 years experience of back-end programming languages, preferably Java or Python.
* Experience with highly scalable, distributed systems and data processing of large data sets.
* Excellent understanding of application integration, event-driven architecture.
* Experience working in agile programming environments and utilising testing patterns such as BDD, TDD.
