CTO / Chief Technology Officer
UPTO GBP150,000 basic salary – plus reward package past GBP200,000

Are you a CTO or Aspiring CTO? Would you like to work for an industry leading data and services business who are breaking new exciting markets? Would you like to work with a small close-knit board driving this business through significant change and transformation much of which is underpinned by technology? Would you like the opportunity to review and potentially reshape the way technology is delivered and managed?

We are working with the leadership team of this very successful and well established business as they look to hire a transformative and delivery focused CTO. The market they work within is niche and therefore buying software to run operations is not a possibility so they need to be able to deliver highly available, flexible software and data solutions which transact data both internally and externally from their business, they integrate with many suppliers and customers and their ability to set up integration solutions quickly and robustly is imperative to the commercial success. Historically they have been a UK centric business but recent years has seen them break new international markets, there is huge opportunity in these markets for this business if they are able to take advantage of new ways of working and new technologies. Software really does underpin the success of this business and as the CTO you will work very closely with the software teams to help translate technical opportunity into business strategy. Leading a mixed direct and indirect team of circa 65 heads you will have responsibility over all aspects of operational run IT (this covers internal and external customers) and change both software and infrastructure.

To be considered for the role you will have
Experience of leading teams delivering highly available and data reliant services
Experience of converting technical strategy in to board room strategy
Experience of leading software teams ideally across different geographies and via partner organisations
Strong grasp of Software Architecture principles
Ideally experience of working in a commercial environment (sells/delivers technology software or data or services)
Ideally experience of M&A activity

My client is based in Buckinghamshire and would like the CTO to be able to work from the office reasonably regularly, so you must be happy to be at the office when required, this perhaps would average 2ish days per week.
