As our Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements that will drive Office Depot's capabilities for our customers and translating these into business and IT-focused solutions. The role establishes relationships between Projects and business teams to gain valuable insights to achieve business objectives.

As our Business Analyst, you will be required to:

– Work collaboratively with key stakeholders, gain an in-depth understanding of underlying, complex business problems, and generate ideas to solve these.

– Work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams across many locations and functions

– Facilitate and support the relationship between Business and Technical roles, by communicating business objectives and business processes to technical teams whether internal colleagues or external service providers

– Complete research with business users to gather insights and requirements to generate fresh ideas to resolve existing issues.

– Ensure Business needs are properly analysed, understood, and signed off by the relevant Stakeholders.

– Ensure that requirements are captured to best practice standards and methodologies.

– Ensure any requirements prioritisation is agreed and maintained throughout the project

– Gain an in-depth understanding of systems architecture and interfaces to anticipate implications of solution additions, changes, and enhancements.

– Assist technical teams in translating required functionality into application architecture

– Create workflows and/or other business models to demonstrate solutions

– Ensure accurate and appropriate decisions are made by the solution/development team to align with the business needs

– Participates in and supports testing of IT system changes

What we are looking for in our ideal Functional Test Analyst:

– Academic degree and relevant experience is required

– Proven experience within a digital / e-commerce business domain

– Strong experience of Agile principles, as well as more traditional Waterfall methodologies

– Represents the interests of Business users throughout the project and ensure that the objectives are achieved.

– Ability to listen to information, reflect on implications, and challenge effectively.

– Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions

– Ability to scopes out the length and difficulty of tasks and projects and to break down work into the process steps

– Communicates in a timely manner and with confidence.

– Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written
