We are excited to be working with an award winning, industry disrupting latter stage tech start up, assisting with their search for a Backend Engineer.

The position will see you:

Conduct code-based peer reviews across the team and provide valuable feedback to ensure high code quality and scalability throughout the codebase
Work (and sometimes lead) on projects to deliver new or improve existing functionality.
Implement code changes to existing services with minimal disruption to existing functionality and performance
Work collaboratively with other cross functional teams to deliver end to end features

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

At least 3 years commercial experience in Backend Engineering
A thorough professional knowledge of NodeJs and Typescript
Exposure to both SQL (postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/ Redis) databases
Docker/ Kubernetes
AWS Services – RDS, EKS, SQS, S3, Lambda
TDD experience
History of using Git/ Github in a professional environment
