As our Assurance Specialist, you will facilitate Client Assurances through providing support for onsite walkthroughs with operational teams and supporting with the overview and validation of controls performed within support areas or Compliance. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the Client Assurance Framework and ensuring the smooth end-to-end process of an Assurance takes place, ensuring all meetings, calls, etc. are organised to reduce the impact on the Client and Operational time.

Main responsibilities as our Assurance Specialist will require you to:

– Creating a formalised system which reflects the processes and procedures listed within the control reports working procedures

– Reviewing and approving the scope of the assurance controls visit

– Liaising with the affected departments to ensure preparation for the Client visits and calls run in an orderly way

– Ensuring TMS Ops save down and can provide control evidence as documented in the TMS RCAs

– Liaising with TMS support areas to progress actions such as Change and MI through weekly meetings to ensure the volume of actions is controlled

– Working closely with the Risk and Compliance Manager in ensuring the RCA’s are kept up to date

– Implementing a formal control testing manual/methodology and annual planner for TMS Internal Assurance Reviews

– Maintaining the TMS internal Risk Assurance Framework document

– Owning the documentation of Assurance Engagements through the retention of organised working papers as evidence of fieldwork, testing and results

– Escalating any risks identified as Red Flags through assurance testing

– Conducting Independent and Objective Assurances involving reviewing business rules, policies, procedures and regulations

– Planning assurances and preparing the engagement work program for each assurance and issuing a scope for all internal assurances

– Interrogating data for completeness, accuracy and adherence through assurance testing and interpreting data and analysing results

– Reviewing draft reports with Associate Director of Compliance, agreeing final sign off for publication and producing weekly/monthly reports

– Liaising with the Risk and Compliance team to assist in maintaining risk and control logs

What we’re looking for in our Assurance Specialist:

– A good ability to communicate and accompany external stakeholders on the operational floor

– An understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and testing

– A Bachelor’s Degree is desirable, preferably with a major in Business, Criminal Justice or MIS
