Application Developer – Milton Keynes – Permanent

Sidestep Consulting are recruiting for an Application Developer to join one of our forward-thinking clients in Milton Keynes.

The Application Developer to assist with continued design, development, maintenance and customisation of our Diagnostics and Management systems. Using agile methodology, the application developer will be involved in the entire software stack, from customer facing services, network provisioning and backend workflow systems to process automation.

Skills and Requirements;

The Application Developer will be well experienced across the board, with a minimum 4 years’ experience in software development under Linux/GNU Systems.

Required;

* Experience with Python, PHP and JavaScript

* Experience with Database systems such as MySQL / Oracle

* Strong understanding of languages such as HTML, XML and JSON

* Experience in either creating or integrating with RESTful and SOAP APIs

* Awareness of application security issues and secure coding practices

* Strong organisational skills, working individually and as a team

* Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to interpret non-technical requirements and provide solutions.

Desirable;

* Exposure to Salesforce CRM

* Programming Languages such as; C/C ++, Java, Ruby, Bash

* Framework exposure such as; Django, Flask, Zato, Ruby on rails, Symphony

* Cloud application deployment

Salary; £45,000 per annum

This role offers remote working 2/3 days a week.
