We have an interesting opportunity for an Application Architect to join a UK leading SaaS company. They are undergoing an exciting period of growth across the technology teams and are looking for an Application Architect with a background in developing and enhancing existing solutions.

The Application Architect will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to implement customer focused application enhancements and integrate web services into third party databases. You will be responsible for owning the delivery, design, and implementation of upgrades and changes for the existing solution.

Acting as the SME for the product, the initial 6 months of the role will be immersing yourself in the product by working closely with the Application Development team in a hands-on basis where you will contribute to the ongoing development of the platform using both low code and JavaScript to create front end web-based applications. This will give you the grounding to understand the platform inside out and enable you to better understand and support client requirements.

Responsibilities

* Responsible for the framework and application features to deliver the end-to-end technical solutions

* Work closely with architecture, delivery, technical sales, and platform development teams

* Acts as point of contact for technical issues related to the overall solution and design

* Owning the delivery of solution upgrades and changes from a technical standpoint

* Acts as a technical product owner supporting all teams within the initiative

* Identify, scope and model business processes, rules, workflow, data and interface requirements and process improvements

* Contribute to the wider development of capability and propositions across the business

* Writes technical specifications including use cases, prototype screen designs, process flow diagrams and testing requirements

* Determines benefits/costs and means of measuring these to support business case

* Manages and provides product-specific support to the Delivery, Software Development and Customer Support teams

* Responsible for ease of deployment, implementation and training of the application frameworks including stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of system architecture

Experience

* Hands on experience of JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, HTML and CSS

* Proven use of data technologies including MySQL and SQL Server databases, SQL syntax, ETL techniques and best practice.

* Previous experience working closely with external stakeholders and customers

* Proven use of data, documentation and databases, web services and other means of accessing third-party systems for integration purposes across several solution domains.

* Proven understanding of how to design, implement and maintain web services, web user interfaces and web-based applications across several solution domains.

* Experience of agile methodologies

* Implementation of and/or integration with a range of software solutions
