A brand new vacancy for a 3rd line IT Support Engineer / Technician, with around 4 years' or more experience to join a friendly, independent IT solutions company based in Milton Keynes since 2004. The role can be office based in Milton Keynes or hybrid/WFH. The company is a highly regarded MSP providing full IT system design, installation, commissioning, cyber security and support services to clients in and around the Milton Keynes and Beds/Bucks/Northants areas (including us -so you'd better be good!!). As 3rd line Technician / Engineer you will play an key role in making sure Clients are exceptionally happy. You will handle escalated support requests, complex tickets and project work. You will be the type of person that can find a resolution to any IT problem, scope out project work and keep the Client informed, with empathy, every step of the way. Part of your role will also be to teach and mentor less experienced colleagues so they can learn and progress in their careers.

Key technical skills for 3rd Line IT Support Engineer are:

Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing and network systems

Advanced diagnosis skills of technical issues related of end-user hardware, software & network devices
Advanced experience and knowledge of working with the Microsoft 365 Platform
Experience configuring and supporting VoIP phone systems
Working knowledge of Azure, Azure AD and Azure security
Strong networking skills; LAN, VLAN, WAN, WLAN
Experienced in Hyper-V configuration and troubleshooting
Full UK Driving licenseAny of the following would also be beneficial (but not essential):

Experience using a Ticketing system / RMM Tool and PSA software
Experience providing support via remote tools
Experience handling Technical Service Tickets
Professional IT Certifications such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA or MCSE, ITIL, ITSM, etc.
