At OptivITy, a Managed Service Provider, we’re looking for a flexible 2nd Line Support/Network Engineer to join the team, both remote and on site at our Office in Iver Heath, Watford and at client sites.
Our sole purpose is to help you get the best from your business IT systems, optimising your resources so they work for you, not the other way round.
About the role
* Support our varied clients in the SME market and predominantly the TV/Film industry sector with 2nd line network support
* Be flexible with start times from 8am to 6:30pm covering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
* Travel between the 2 offices in Iver Heath/Watford and client sites
Be proficient in:
* Windows 7/8/10
* Windows Server 2016/2012/2008
* Network switches & VLAN configuration
* Firewall setup, management & monitoring
* Experience supporting FortiGate, Ubiquiti, HP, and SonicWALL hardware
* Microsoft Office 365 & Cloud Solutions – Support & Migration
* PC Builds and Hardware Setup
* Setup and configure wireless solutions
* Apple Mac OS Installation, Configuration and Troubleshooting
* CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Accreditations
About you
* Minimum 2 years' experience
* Experience in managing projects from initial scope to sign off
* SQL Experience with managing and maintaining
* AWS or Azure experience
* Ability to prepare presentations and scope of works
* Minimum GCSE Grade of C in Maths and English
* Ability to make informed decisions, sometimes without guidance
