Our client is the UK's largest university, a world leader in flexible part-time education combining a mission to widen access to higher education with research excellence, transforming lives through education.

They are looking to recruit a small team of experienced Senior IT Service & Support Technicians to join them asap until 31st October 2021, working 37hrs a week on a rota basis, which will include lates, Saturdays and Sundays (extra payments to be discussed). This role is working from home and equipment will be supplied.

The hourly rate is £15.16ph which equates to £29,176pa.

The role

Senior Service & Support Technicians will join our 2nd line Associate Lecturers support team within the Service Desk providing telephone support to help deliver the provision of services for circa 10,000 end users.

37 hours per week, the team are required to work various shifts to cover Service Desk opening hours as follows:-

Monday to Friday 09:00 – 21:00
Saturday 09:00 – 17:00 and Sundays 09:00 – 16:00

This role would suit someone who has demonstrable experience in:-

Providing telephone support and guidance to end users whilst remoting onto devices to troubleshoot issues and apply fixes
Essential strong oral and written communications skills and enjoy working as part of a team supporting your colleagues to adapt to change and collectively deliver a great service
Providing excellent customer service
Supporting windows, mac and mobile devices
Aptitude in troubleshooting software and hardware issues
Proactive technical support to resolve incidents and service requests, including analysis, investigation and resolution
Being fully focused on service excellence and expedite investigations/ resolutions to incidents, whilst driving the appropriate actions to safeguard service and ensure that OLAs and SLAs are maintained
