Our Milton Keynes-based client is looking to recruit a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their team, so we are keen to speak with people with a strong background within IT.
We’re looking for a motivated technology enthusiast to join our clients IT products support department.
Position: 1st Line Support Engineer
Hours: Monday to Friday Hours- 8.30 to 5.30 1-hour lunch.
Salary: £22,000 – £26,000
The job will involve…
Support clients with product support issues, solving them through to resolution, making key decisions where appropriate and communicating effectively with external customers, and colleagues alike.
Train UK and international users of the Company’s Software remotely and occasionally onsite.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with customers
Champion continuous improvement
Excellent knowledge of Windows operating systems.
Good understanding of Networking, servers, switches, routers, I.P addressing and firewalls.
Comp TIA would be advantageous but not necessary.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience required:-
A background in product support
Be analytical in your approach and resolve a range of issues ranging from basic to more complex resolutions
Basic SQL knowledge (desirable)
Previous experience in a similar role and environment of both remote and face to face support
Full driving licence
A Degree in computer science would be an advantage
IT Support: minimum 1 year (required)
