Backend Engineer

Concept:              Hospitality Technology

Location:             UK remote (occasional office visits in Hertfordshire)

Salary:                  £40,000-£85,000pa

Our client is looking for both junior, mid level and senior back end developers to join their growing team. Their product is widely used within hospitality settings and they would love to meet with candidates that have great communication skills, are able to build scalable microservices, and will be able to work closely with the rest of the backend team.

BACKEND ENGINEER KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Work closely with other developers- senior will be mentor to others
Work on and occasionally lead on new projects
Ensure code is readable, maintainable and testable- Utilising TDD where possible
Troubleshoot, debug and resolve high priority issues
BACK END SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE?

Node.js/TypeScript
SQL (postgres) and noSQL (dynamoDb, redis) databases
Docker and Kubernetes
AWS services – RDS, EKS, SQS, S3, Lambda
 Event driven development (use of SQS, RabbitMQ or other queue
service)

Test driven development (TDD)
Git & GitHub
Experience with Continuous Integration & Deployment
Experience working with payment providers
Experience working with ePOS integrations
