Are you currently seeking a full-time Chef De Partie position in the east Milton Keynes area and would you like to work for an established, reputable and award winning family run hotel, bar and restaurant set at the heart of a bustling market town?
The Swan Revived Hotel, situated in Newport Pagnell and just a short drive from the M1 motorway, has just been voted ‘Hotel of The Year’ at the Milton Keynes Food & Drink Awards 2021. Indeed it has long been a favored venue for both business and pleasure stays, offering a large range of modern bedrooms and event rooms, a quiet lounge, relaxing restaurant, two bars and free onsite parking. It now seeks to appoint an experienced Chef De Partie that will work closely with the Head Chef in preparing a range traditional and seasonal breakfast, lunch and evening meals for hotel guests and other patrons.
As Chef De Partie, your responsibilities will include;
* Cooking a variety of menu based meals and side orders for diners, hotel and event guests
* Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items and developing dishes
* Consulting daily with the Head Chef and Duty Manager(s) regarding daily requirements, functions and any last minute events.
* Ensuring effective communication with other restaurant and bar staff by maintaining a secure and friendly working environment.
* Helping to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
* Assisting with receipt and storage of food deliveries, ensuring that stock is rotated to achieve minimum wastage and is stored in compliance with legislative requirements.
* Helping to ensure goods received correspond with the order book and delivery note; Quality of produce and correct temperature storage etc.
* Maintaining up to date knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
* Maintaining awareness of food allergens and temperature controls
* Helping oversee the maintenance of the kitchen and food safety standards
* Ad hoc kitchen duties when required
Already working in an appropriate hotel or restaurant based catering role, you’ll be a flexible, versatile and confident Chef De Partie, who possesses strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under pressure on occasions and good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
You’ll also be comfortable working effectively with a small team, have an eye for the detail and of course a passion for food!
As Chef De Partie you’ll receive a starting salary of £24,000 per annum, along with a pension and 28 days annual holiday entitlement (inclusive of statutory bank holidays).
