Workshop Fitter

Location: Bedford

Salary: Salary £18000 to £20,000

Hours: 39 per week

We are currently looking to recruit a Workshop Fitter to work within our busy workshop in Bedford. You will also be responsible for pre delivery inspections, machine overhauls and rebuilds. This role is a fantastic opportunity join a globally recognised company that offer excellent training and development opportunities whilst working on industry leading machinery and equipment including the GRUNDOMAT, GRUNDOWINCH, GRUNDOBURST, GRUNDOPIT & GRUNDODRILL.

You should demonstrate a hardworking, can do approach, along with lots of self-motivation and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. If you have experience of a busy workshop, and have served time as a Fitter then we want to hear from you!

KEY SKILLS:

* Experienced and qualified of working with relevant mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

* Welding and mechanical fitting experience would be advantageous

* Hold a recognised, engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification

* Able to work as part of a Team, supporting colleagues working to the production schedule

* Flexible and self-motivated, able to embrace new training opportunities, which may on occasion require staying away from home

* Completing jobs and related workshop administration.

* Adhering to health and safety rules and legislation.

* Able to work in a small team and use own initiative

* Good communication skills – both verbal and written
