We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Wireless Survey Engineer to join us on a contracting basis, working on a specific project that will look to continue for 6 months. This role will be countrywide, so the successful individual must be prepared for travel and at times may need to stay away from home.
The successful candidate:
* Experience of undertaking large scale Wi-Fi Surveys in Retail / Hospitality Environments, using ideally TamoGraph, Ekahau or Airmagnet
* You will be able to carry out surveys, generate, compile, and technically qualify Wi-Fi Survey reports
* Must be a team player but also have the ability to work alone at times and understand the need for professional behaviour and exceptional service delivery to our customers
* An exemplary communicator and used to being customer facing and understand the importance of excellent customer service for our clients.
* You must have a full clean driver’s licence and should be prepared to work long hours, work away from home from time to time.
* Be a self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to ‘get the job done’.
* Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of Network / Wireless Engineering ideally within the Retail and Hospitality industry
* Experience and knowledge of data installations (specifically Cat 5e and Cat 6)
* Have experience of configuration and commissioning of IT equipment
* Excellent communication skills, the role will involve working alongside other Engineers and liaising with the Client
* Possess excellent organisational skills in a multi-tasking environment
* Able to work efficiently and complete all relevant documentation accurately
* Take ownership and assume responsibility.
Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience using TamoGraph / Ekahau / Airmagnet surveying software.
* A good understanding of IT/Networking
* Experience of enterprise WLAN systems
* Ability to problem solve and empathise with the customer’s needs.
* Proactive & Customer focused
* Ability to understand, translate and document customer requirements in detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (written and verbally)
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation
* Must hold a CSCS/ECS Card
* Asbestos Certification
* £2 Million Public Liability Insurance
* Full driving Licence
