Position Summary:
My Client based in the Rail industry is currently recruiting 2 x Coded MAG Welders to operate in their manufacturing depot based in Milton Keynes The role carried out will be to refurbish rail carriages, cutting corrosion and re-welding the outer shells of the carriages. Within the role you will be expected to have the ability to cut out the corrosion, fabricate and then weld back into the carriage for final preparation.
Ideally we are looking for a diverse candidate who has a very flexible approach and not afraid of hard work.
Qualifications:
Candidates considered for this position will have experience in GMAW MIG/MAG Welding.
-Candidates must be time served and apprentice trained Welder
-Must be proficient in MIG & MAG welding on Mild Steel
-Must be able to weld 1.5mm – 12mm
-Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
-Must be able to work to written instructions
-Must be able to work nights.
-Must be punctual
-Must have own transport or live within the local area if no transport.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the following industries;
-Commercial/Automotive crash repair
-Corrosion Repair
-Exforces
-Marine/Ship building
-Maintenance, Corrosion of repair
