Waste Prevention Officer

Our local authority client is looking to recruit a Waste Prevention Officer to their team.

The Role:

In this role, you'll be part of the Waste Prevention Team, deliver a range of waste prevention and recycling initiatives, contribute to and deliver communication activities, and analyse performance data in order to deliver a waste prevention programme. You will need to be able to prioritise and target specific areas and measure the effectiveness of initiatives delivered.

The Candidate:

Educated to NVQ 4 / degree standard or equivalent, you'll have a background in behaviour change, waste prevention or reduction projects together with a proven ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of audiences.

The Waste Prevention Officer will have knowledge and understanding of key waste management legislation and national policies affecting local authorities and householders

Ability to prioritise, monitor and be accountable for concurrent projects with experience of analysing data to understand project outcomes and identifying improvements
