Waste Commissioning Team Leader

Our local authority client is looking to recruit a Waste Commissioning Team Leader to their team.

The role:

In this role, you will be providing a leadership and management role across Strategic Waste Management and Enforcement Service. You will have direct line management of a team of staff, external multi-disciplined professional advisors and/or matrix manage people aligned to your work delivery plans from across the organisation. You'll have experience of setting monitoring and reporting performance standards/measures for example managing people and business plans whilst maximising service outcomes in relation to time, cost and quality to customers and business performance.

Person Specification:

You'll come to us with experience of leading and managing a team of people, delivering programmes and/or projects, a background in a relevant industry including waste management and educated to degree level or equivalent.
You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of policy/ strategy development, together with an ability to lead business planning including financial management.
Proven track record of successful delivery and management of programs/projects for example waste transfer stations, household recycling centres and life cycle replacements of plant, equipment, vehicles used in the waste sector.
Knowledge and understanding of key waste management, construction, legislation and national policies will be an advantage.
