Allstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Test Development Technician based in Milton Keynes for a well-established Engineering Company.

The role…

The main purpose of the role of a Test Development Technician is to provide key technical support to the functions and activities of the Test Engineering Department.

As the Test Development Technician your role will involve the following important duties:

Perform general technical duties as required by his supervisor or delegated Engineer.
PCB board assembly and Fixture Assembly as required. Generate associated assembly documentation for such works and projects. These will generally be in electronic format (Word Docs, Excel, Spreadsheets, Photos/Images)
Perform routine maintenance of jigs and fixtures on site and generate maintenance documentation for MK and manufacturing site in Dongguan (China).
Keep accurate records of work done and notes either in the appropriate project log or in a 'daybook 'in a format such that the information can be readily retrieved.
The experience required…

As a successful Test Development Technician, you will have the following:

Essential:

At least 2 years previous experience in a similar environment.
Ability to work accurately to defined timescales.
IT Literate including familiarity with MS Office software.
Familiarity with basic electronics (Ohm's Law, Kirchoff's Law)
Familiarity with reading electronic circuit schematics and the use of Basic Electronic Measurement Equipment (multimeter as a minimum)
Desirable:

­Experience/familiarity with PCB Layout Software.
An interest or experience in software programming.

Hours: 37.5 Hours a week Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
