Technical Advisor – Solar Energy

Our client is a well established renewable energy business is seeing to employ a Technical advisor to work within their technical team based in Milton Keynes
The Technical Advisor will be the support and assistance for customers (sales partners, service partners, installers) in UK
Presales-assistance, such as PV- system-sizing, assistance with support cases via phone/email as well as on-site (as required)
The Technical Advisor will have a strong focus on screening national standards and codes and analyse their individual importance for the business
Give technical training to sales partners, installers and internal team members
Electro-technical commissioning on site
Demonstrate products at customer sites and in-house
Participate in Sales Exhibitions or Trade Fairs (National or outside of the UK)
Participate and represent in the various Regulatory/Standardization Meetings in the UK
Be committee member and active in related workgroups. Not only to be informed on specific standards, but to be part of the expert community to get important information via networking.
The Technical Advisor will be creating a forward looking roadmap of future requirements in standards leading to possible product changes or certifications
Supporting different stakeholders within the subsidiary with information or explanations with regard to standardization topic
Influence the landscape of requirements in coordination with Solution Management.
Represent the UK business in standardization committees and in national lobbying organizations such as national solar associations.

To apply for the Technical Advisor role :-

You must have knowledge in renewable Energy
Understanding the general UK Solar market and current regulations
Completed technical degree (Electrical Engineering preferred)
To be able to communicate on all levels with a varied audience and demanding customers
Ability to analyse and present complex technical relations
Understanding or been involved with DNO's and knowledge of G99
Team worker with willingness to impart knowledge to others
Commitment to the company and the demands of the role
Willingness and ability to travel
Good computer skills (MS Office, CRM)
