Supplier Quality Engineer – £35,000 to £42,000 – Plus Benefits – Milton Keynes
Melbreck Technical are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment that is supplied into a multitude of industries through the globe.
They have had a very successful 2020 and are now looking to expand their capability to bring new suppliers on board by hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Quality Team.
Supplier Quality Engineer – Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall supplier quality and compliance requirements whilst coordinating cross-functional teams which will allow the business to better serve their customers and help improve productivity and profitability.
Supplier Quality Engineer – Responsibilities:
• Managing the quality of suppliers.
• Developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality standards for suppliers.
• Provide statistical information for quality improvement.
• Guide technical evaluation, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
• Represents company by interfacing with suppliers, assisting with internal and external audits.
• Analyse proposed changes in methods and materials.
• Leads continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas.
• Performing in-house and supplier audits and surveys.
• Implement and drive strategic programs to improve supplier performance.
• Some foreign travel will be required.
Supplier Quality Engineer – Requirements:
• University degree combined with relevant work experience (mechanical engineering/quality/lean or similar).
• Customer orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility and motivation.
• Good analytical skills and knowledge of quality processes (PDCA, 8D).
• Fluent English.
• Valid driving licence
