Supplier Quality Engineer
We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer for a long- term project. We are seeking a strong candidate either Auditor Approved or AS9100 Certified.
What the role will involve
* Manage supplier approval process and documentation
* Conduct and manage supplier approval process to ensure compliance in line with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
* Review the approval pack received from supplier and measure compliance against approval requirements
* Liaise with suppliers directly for clarification and obtaining additional information if required
* Highlight the risks and issues with the supplier compliance
* Communicate the progress and KPI to Quality and Programme teams
* Work closely with offshore team in managing the distributed work
The person
The role of Quality Engineer requires the following experience and skills:
* Minimum HNC Mechanical/ Manufacturing or Production Engineering qualification with experience in Supplier Quality Engineering position
* Certified Quality Auditor OR AS9100 Certified
* Ability to read and interpret technical Engineering Drawings (GD&T) and specifications
* Working knowledge of Root Cause (8D, 5 WHY) Analysis techniques to implement effective monitoring / metrics to support corrective actions
* Working knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP),
* Working knowledge of PFMEA & DFMEA
This role is inside IR35 and paid via Umbrella
Immediate start on an Initially 6 months contract with extension likely. Client Would consider a permanent person for this role
