A successful family owned business with a global customer base are recruiting for a Supplier Performance Manager. This position is within the Procurement & Supply Chain team of an engineering & manufacturing business, and the ideal candidate will have experience managing a small team.
Commutable from: Stokenchurch, Wallingford, High Wycombe, Amersham, Princes Risborough, Thame, Watlington, Oxford, Didcot, Henley-on-Thames, Aylesbury
Salary: £ 30,000- £ 32,000 p.a. & an annual bonus scheme, pension, life insurance, health plan, 23 days annual leave (rising with service) & bank holidays, cycle to work scheme, holiday buying scheme

The Role
The Supplier Performance Manager will be responsible for:
Lead day to day management to a dedicated procurement team to deliver timely, quality, and value-added services and advice to the department and business
Support the Procurement Director in the day-to-day management of the supply chain by facilitating a collaborative and integrated approach to the delivery of an end-to-end supply
Maintain a high performing team by implementing the departments performance planning and reviewing framework
Drive value for money initiatives within the procurement function
Actively manage the requisition and orders queue
Liaise with suppliers and build relationships, utilising great communication levels
Ensure the MRP system is regularly updated
Work with the Procurement Director to develop and implement a best practice purchasing process
Maintain regular contact with suppliers, ensuring all deliveries are received on time and also update Winman comments to reflect supporting information
The Person
Experience in a managerial or leadership position
Able to monitor supplier performance and report on KPI’s
At least 3 years’ experience in a supply chain and procurement management environment
Be a competent user of Microsoft Excel
An analytical thinker with great communication skills
Any experience working in a logistics environment would be advantageous
Experience working in the automotive, aerospace or engineering sectors would be advantageous
