Overview – SQA Engineer (Electrical)

A market leading manufacturer within the Aerospace industry is currently seeking a SQA Engineer to join their expanding team responsible for providing quality engineering support to the companies supply chain, supplier development and Sourcing functions.

Responsibilities – SQA Engineer (Electrical)

* Perform system and product audits of nominated suppliers and co-ordinate the completion of non-conformance issues arising.

* Maintain an up-to-date list of approved suppliers including a record of their approvals and accreditations.

* Plan and maintain an audit schedule of key suppliers in association with the Sourcing Group.

* Perform initial assessments (desk or site survey as required) of potential new suppliers.

* Perform investigations with suppliers on any non-conforming issues arising including the development of Quality Improvement Plans as required.

* Prepare maintain and improve metrics of quality performance (reject product levels and OTIF performance) of key suppliers.

* Participate in internal quality investigations which may require input regarding supply chain information.

* Manage Supplier Improvement Programmes with Key suppliers to Martin Baker.

* Complete any Sourcing / Supplier projects as required by the Supplier Improvement Manager

Experience required – SQA Engineer (Electrical)

* QA audit experience in a similar environment (Aerospace, Defence or automotive etc)

* QA Engineering experience in a similar environment (Aerospace, Defence or automotive etc)

* QA associated tools – 8D experience (Ishikawa & 5why), Process FMEA & Control Plan experience, Lead Auditor ISO 9001/AS9100
