Our client are, an established nationwide food manufacturer, who have been operating for almost 50 years. They have a strong presence nationally, cash rich and are now looking for a dynamic Site Services maintenance engineer to join their team in Milton Keynes.
Your Role:
* You will service and maintenance of all site infrastructure equipment, machinery and services within the factory.
* You will assist with the installation of new electrical/mechanical equipment and systems in line with our Net Zero targets.
* You will conduct site Infrastructure design and maintenance, whilst complying with company and legislative health & safety, food safety and personal hygiene procedures and regulations.
* You will ensure that agreed standards GMP standard are maintained, and Green results are achieved on weekly audits by the technical team.
* You will liaise with Shift manager/ Manager/ Engineering Department with regards to any serious Engineering issues.
* You will assist with any out of hours issues that take place and act accordingly (weekend working)
* Complete daily servicing and checks on the water towers. This requires the employee to hold a valid legionella awareness certificate.
* You will ensure regular cleaning of the drainage system is carried out by the assigned contractor to a satisfactory level.
* You will carry out daily inspection on the main fridge plant.
* You will carry out daily inspections on the main air compressors and driers.
* You will walk the roof void once a week and identify and repair any leaks.
* You will perform factory fabrication outside side of FMP and High-Risk including gates and fencing.
* You will ensure site electrical works are carried out to the latest standards, fixed wiring and PAT testing is carried out in required time scales a long with any remedial works.
Personal Specification:
-You will be Time served Multiskiled maintenance / Site Services maintenance engineer
-You will possess good mechanical / electrical engineering skills
-You will be able to fault find on electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to a high standard.
-Have excellent communication and time management skills
-Have a flexible attitude and a growth mindset
-The ability to work in a high pressure environment
-Previous proven track record in a food manufacturing environment
