The company are a UK leader in the material handling industry. Due to their expansion they now have a new opportunity for a Site Engineer to join their team based in the Milton Keynes area. They are offering an attractive salary circa to £28k, O/T/Pension/33 Days holiday/life cover/full training program.

This opportunity would suit a Vehicle Technician, Plant Fitter, Field Service, Heavy Truck or HGV Technician. Company will consider ex forces.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Service Manager, this role as a Site Engineer will be expected to be in

Control of the maintenance, service and repairs of material handling equipment on site, in the Milton Keynes area. Candidate will be working with an assortment of equipment which includes mainly electric, but will also be working with Diesel and Gas.

Responsibilities of the Site Engineer:

Servicing and repair of material handling equipment.
Ordering of parts as efficiently as possible & ensure all stock levels/movement records are accurate & correct
Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the stipulated time period & with the relevant order numbers
Manage own work in progress
Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner
Report any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediately
To maintain familiarization with policies & procedures & adhere to these. E.g. IT Policy, absence policy etc.
Attend training courses to maintain up to date knowledge of equipmentRequirements:

NVQ Level 3 qualified in Plant, Vehicle Maintenance or similar
Preferably served a full apprenticeship
Experienced Plant Fitter, FLT Engineer, Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Ex forces will all be considered for this opportunity
Technical experience in Engines, Electrics and Diagnostics is compulsory. Hydraulics and all other engine types are required also. Salary and Benefits:

Attractive Salary circa to £27k up to £30k dependent on experience
