Shift Mechanical Technician

c£45,000 plus benefits

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Technician / Maintenance Engineer, to work on a state-of-the-art Energy Recovery Facility based in Milton Keynes. Our client is a leading organisation within the power generation & renewable energy sectors, with the opportunity for an experienced Shift Mechanical Technician to join their team.

As the Shift Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:

Planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
Maintenance of mechanical plant including valves, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, turbines, etc.
Fault finding, troubleshooting and rectification
Working as part of a team as well as on own
Overseeing contractors
Using the CMMS and updating accurately
Working as part of a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern including days & nights
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:

A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/NVQ/Apprenticeship etc.)
Proven experience in EfW, waste or similar sector (Biomass / CCGT / Oil / CHP / Renewables)
Experience of carrying out maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes and conveyors, etc.
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
Marine Engineers with experience of working on steam raising plant will also be considered for this role
This is a permanent position based in Milton Keynes. Working on a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off shift rotation.

The package on offer for this position includes:

A basic salary in the range of £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
