Service Chemist

Details of our requirements are:

* Full time 5 days per week

* Salary £16.00- £16.50 per hour

* Company vehicle provided

* Computer literate

* Full training would be given

* Degree in science desirable

* Previous knowledge of water treatment would be an advantage

Duties to include: Service Chemist

Collection of water samples from industrial water systems

Water treatment chemistry analysis

Data entry utilizing relevant software
Analysis of water treatment regimes in boilers & cooling towers
Prepare reports for the customer
Advise customer on compliance with L8 ACOP and relevant boiler water standards
Carry out remedial actions as required on dosage equipment
Supervise chemical deliveries via 3rd party contractor
Write method statements & carry out risk assessments

Skills: Service Chemist

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

• Basic knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.

• Basic ability to analyse data and accurately document and record results.

Service
• Ensure a service plan is defined by the Account manager and then optimise the service activities at the assigned customer, to maximise productivity & profitability as well working with the Account Manager to provide adequate cover for Holidays. The service plan should contain but not be limited to scope of supply of services, time & products as well as treatment limits, performance expectations & KPI’s.
• Ensure execution of customer service plans.
• Communicate with the defined customer contacts.
• Ensure customer records are maintained at all times especially any HSE or compliance related records.
• Preferred chemistry degree or equivalent scientific qualification.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Ability to effectively support multiple managers and teams.
• Good organisational, communication & interpersonal skills.
• Goal oriented self-starter.
• Tools Proficiency with PC skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
