Based from home and reporting to the Installations Manager, candidates can be based anywhere as far north as Sheffield and as far south as Bedfordshire / Milton Keynes (and anywhere in between such as Birmingham or the East Midlands), and the successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly and installation of company products and associated equipment to the declared engineering specification or as instructed by the Installations Manager, providing support to the Project and Installation teams as required and liaising with customers in a concise manner to ensure satisfaction at every stage of a project. You will additionally conduct planned preventive service maintenance and reactive breakdown and repair of customer equipment and systems on site as required whilst ensuring compliance at all times with relevant health and safety requirements.
You will work as part of a team of more than 5 installation engineers and 20 field service engineers on projects that will range from between £100k to £10m+, and will work closely with the installation manager, project managers and engineers, fellow field service and installation team members and customers so exceptional communication skills at all levels are essential for the position. It is envisaged that the successful Service and Installation Engineer candidate will be qualified to HNC level or above in a relevant engineering discipline and currently be working within a plant and equipment maintenance environment and demonstrate previous experience of working within a materials handling or automated process environment.
