Senior Structural Engineer – Required for my client who are a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based North of Milton Keynes. The Senior Structural Engineer will be joining an existing team as an engineer designing structures predominantly Domestic projects however also Industrial and commercial. This opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer will lead to partnership for the right Engineer.

The Chartered Structural Engineer will have at least 8 years' experience within a Structural Design Engineer role and have obtained their chartership through the IStructE or / and the ICE. The Structural Engineer will be will be designing to Eurocodes and will be working directly with the director and rest of the team but will be working on their own projects. Is the Structural Engineer has Civil Engineering knowledge of highways and drainage on residential developments this would be beneficial.

The Structural Engineer will be working on projects up to £10M with house builders, government projects as well as long-term clients. The Structural Engineer will be competent as well as highly personable to fit into the existing team.

Structural analysis and Design
Specifications and computer models of structures for building contractors
Liaise with professionals to agree on safe designs to fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction
Designing to Eurocodes
Ensure team members understand tasks and timescales before starting

Senior Structural Engineer Position Requirements

MSc/MEng qualified in relevant Civil/Structural Engineering discipline
Chartered Member of the IStructE or / and ICE
Minimum of 8 years` experience,
Experience with a mix of projects
Software experience – AutoCAD and Micro station
Civil Engineering knowledge is also beneficial
Excellent communication skills
