Working alongside a leading highways service provider, we are looking to recruit a passionate Senior Streetworks Technician. This is a permanent role based in Buckinghamshire paying £32,000 per annum for the right candidate.

Your new role

The Senior Streetworks Technician will work on the company’s longest running contract with a local authority in Buckinghamshire. Assisting the Streetworks Team Leader you will be responsible for maintaining Buckinghamshire’s largest asset, it’s highway network, ensuring it is safe and serviceable for the county’s residents and business. Alongside ensuring compliance with all aspects of NRSWA, you must be able to fulfil the following specifications:

* To provide support to the Streetworks Technicians, acting as secondary point of contact for any escalated enquiries.

* To be responsible for gathering and collating evidence in relation to the enforcement of NRSWA and assist in the timely submission of such evidence to the Statutory Undertakers and TfB.

* To be responsible for gathering and collating evidence in relation to the enforcement of TMA Parts 3, 4 and 5 and assist in the timely submission of the required evidence to the relevant parties involved.

* Attend Local and County HAUC meetings as required.

* To assist with the delivery of statutory obligations under TMA Part 2 and CoP for Co-ordination of Street works and Road works and associated matters, under the direction of the Traffic Manager and the Streetworks Team Leader – Inspections

* Contribute to the development of corporate policies and procedures relating to NRSWA / TMA activities within Buckinghamshire.

* To act as an ambassador for Transport for Buckinghamshire at all times.

About you

Alongside a willingness to join the team and get stuck in, the successful Senior Streetworks Technician must fit the below criteria

* Completed and have operational application of the New Roads and Street Works Act Accreditation

* Hold an engineering technical qualification

* Undertaken a highways maintenance vocational course

* Awareness of Traffic Management Act and Codes of Practice

* Have CDM/Health and Safety knowledge

* Have geographical knowledge of area

* Experience in the supervision of staff and sites, including the co-ordination of Street Works and the ability to liaise with contractors and third parties

* Able to carry out a Health and Safety Risk Assessment

* Able to produce contracts and works orders
