A global organisation specialising in mission-critical solutions for various sectors including space, aerospace, security, military and communications are looking for a Senior Project Manager on a permanent basis to help deliver 2 major space industry projects. The company are true innovators, designing and delivering high-reliability products for customers throughout the world.

Info about what the role entails

A Senior Project Manager role with the option to incorporate a role as Lead on PMO projects. Due to the size of the Project Management team, the successful candidate will be managing space industry development projects for 2 specific clients. If they wish to also lead the project management organisation, with control over x5 project managers and their development this project option is also available (but is not enough for a full-time role).

Essential Requirements of the Senior Project Manager

* 3+ years experience as a Project Manager from an Aerospace, Defence, Space or Automotive environment (in a highly regulated, standards-based environment)

* Project management of design & development projects taking a project through the initial design & qualification phases

* Project Manager used to dealing at the equipment level rather than at a systems level

* Technical background with a good appreciation of Electrical, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering

* SC Cleared or SC Clearable

Nice to Have Requirements of the Senior Project Manager

* Space industry experience or a desire to work in the sector

* A good awareness of Electrical Engineering would highly beneficial

* Full lifecycle project management (cradle to grave) – in this role you would not be involved with project managing manufacture, this would be passed over to operations

* Current UK SC Clearance would be nice to have
