Senior Production Engineer – £45k-£55k – Buckinghamshire – Electro-Mechanical

My client specialises in the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of electro-mechanical products. As part of the company’s expansion plan, they are looking to grow the engineering team with a passionate Senior Production Engineer to implement the necessary changes to streamline and improve their production processes.

Main Duties:

+ Supervision of junior members of the production engineering team

+ Setup and support of production lines / manufacturing cells for new & existing products

+ Work with the design department to improve the manufacturability of current products

+ Preparation and maintenance of work instructions & test procedures

+ Design and assemble custom tooling for new & existing products

+ Develop, monitor and improve the production process for new & existing products

+ Calibrate and maintain test equipment & tooling

Experience:

+ Degree educated or relevant industry experience

+ Broad background in electro-mechanical product development, manufacture & testing

+ Experience in the design & validation of custom tooling

+ Experience of lean, cellular manufacturing & Kaizen continuous improvement

+ 3D CAD experience

+ Experience in setting up production lines & manufacturing layouts

The salary will be between £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefit package available including a £3,000 bonus.
