The Company;

Our client is an award winning packaging company that have been producing high quality control packaging systems for over 20 years, who due to rapid growth are now seeking to appoint a Senior Product Development Engineer

The role;

As the Senior Product Development Engineer you will mainly be responsible for researching new materials, processes, technologies and deploying them to develop new innovative packaging solutions. Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

Main responsibilities;

* Research materials, technologies and identify suitable new materials to support innovation within new product development
* Prepare and conduct laboratory tests using approved processes, equipment and materials to analyse & evaluate data, report results and arrive at a conclusion

* Utilise Thermal Simulation software through modelling techniques and material science to evaluate thermal packaging system performance
* Design and qualify innovative insulated packaging solutions to meet specific customer and/or market applications
* A strong awareness of 'Design for Manufacture'
* Preparation of technical documentation to required standards; to include:
o Test reports
o Engineering Memos
o Validation / Qualification Protocols and Reports
o Material and Product Specifications
o Performance Summaries
o Technical Drawings
o Sample making

About you;

If you are an experienced Product Development Engineer and have experience in a similar role within a production facility you should have the following requirements;

Required;

* Graduate Engineering Qualification
* 5 plus years in an engineering role
* Solidworks expert
* FEA experience
* CFD (analysis or other experience)
* Strong expert in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

* Technical Studies
* Smart CAE thermal simulations
* Qualification protocol / report writing DQ, OQ, PQ, etc
* Insulation and PCM materials
* Thermal Dynamics
