I am looking for a Senior Planner who comes from working with Main Contractors. This could be Tier 1, 2 OR 3. You must also have experience within Civil Engineering and worked on infrastructure projects.

This is a £90m project that needs Planning support. You will be working closely with the Head of Planning.

KEY ROLE DELIVERABLES
*Assist other planners in the team on their projects, providing planning support and mentoring them
*Produce integrated tender programmes and present proposals to the Directors for approval.
*Produce schedules as well as obtaining approvals from clients for both programmes and EoTs
*Accountability for the most complex, largest or several significant projects and manage all to a successful conclusion; this may involve supervising other Planners
*Ensure proper integration of the design and procurement elements with the construction phases
*Propose VEs, alternative solutions and / or methodologies to add value to the projects.
*Change management: implement changes on programme, assess impact of changes and advise on EOT requirements
*Setting up appropriate lean visual programme, timeslices and presentations to assist the Project Team to timely deliver projects and improve productivity, performance and safety of projects

ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLS
*Good customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
*Must be able to own and present the "Plan" at all levels within the organisation structure
*Demonstrable capability and proven skills in the use of planning tools (e.g. Primavera Project Management, Microsoft Project, Asta), TiLoS, Synchro etc
*Understand and has utilised Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Techniques, and "Extension of Time" analysis techniques
*Programme management under different forms of Contracts: JCT, NEC, FIDIC.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to manage a large workload and prioritise tasks
*Be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn
