Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Working for an innovative creator of complex devices used on a global scale this role will focus on the design of a range of intricate electro-mechanical instruments.  You will own end to end creative projects which could range from 3 months to 3 years where you will get to see the impact these products are having on the market.

Based out of their modern design and manufacturing facility you will join a small team focussing on new technology which is being used in a range of different applications.

The products are small and intricate with complex electro/mechanical mechanisms so you will need to have a strong appreciation of working on precision complex engineering projects.

You will work on:

Taking design projects from concept through to product launch.

Drafting precision engineering components with appropriate geometric tolerances.

Prototype assembly and testing and design validation.

Looking at cost analysis and value engineering of electromechanical assemblies.

Working on FEA analysis and 3D Cad work using SolidWorks.

The company can offer great progression routes into Principle design roles where you can either be a technical specialist or move over into a team leader or managerial role.

For this role you will need to have:

A strong degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven industry experience working with precision electro-mechanical mechanisms/products.
A creative mindset with the ability to manage design projects from concept to release
