Senior Maintenance Technician / Engineer
Westcott Venture Park, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
£40,000 – £42,000 (DOE) per annum Plus Pension, BUPA Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 20 Days’ Holiday (rising with service)

Olleco is on a mission to help protect the planet, working together with thousands of foodservice businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by hundreds and thousands of tonnes. We are now looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician / Engineer to join our team and help us to continue to do things the right way for customers, colleagues and the planet.
With over 1,000 colleagues in multiple sites nationwide delivering excellent performance, we supply premium cooking oils, and collect organic waste, which is then converted into bio-methane, electricity, heat and organic fertiliser. We offer the human touch with local, community-based depots which seek to give back to those communities every chance we get.

This is the role that’s on offer for the right person:
– Performing planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance at the Westcott Venture Park site
– Supporting Group Maintenance Manager by executing the Business Maintenance Strategy
– Coaching and supervision of Maintenance team
A little bit more about the role:
– Full utilisation of PPM system within the group strategy and liaise with Management to agree weekly maintenance schedules that fit with operational requirements
– Plan all Engineering Maintenance Tasks within a timely fashion and to a high standard
– Ensure the Daily Maintenance of PPM records by using the CMMS
– Ensure that all machinery and services are routinely maintained in line with operational requirements
– Take responsibility for electrical and mechanical support across the site
– Quickly respond to machine and system failures
– Communicate maintenance progress updates to colleagues
– Manage site spares and ensure availability of critical items across the site
– Work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, on 12 hour shifts

What are we looking for? As you can imagine, you’ll need a broad range of personal skills to succeed, but we don’t expect you to have everything from the start! We will coach, train and support you, it’s more important that you have the right interpersonal skills and the intelligence to grasp our business and take us forward.
We will be looking for:
– At a minimum. five years’ demonstrable experience of engineering, maintenance and/or reliability
– Proven electrical & instrumentation and/or mechanical experience with the ability to support on mechanical tasks
– Experience in continuous and/or process improvement and LEAN manufacturing.
– Experience in a supervisory capacity
– Apprentice trained (electrical or instrumentation) with HNC, NVQ or similar qualification
– Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices and industry standards (DSEAR or ATEX, PSSR, COSSH, EAW, FMEA, HAZOP, HACCP, etc.)
– Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and P&IDs
