Exciting opportunity working for a Global Manufacturing Company as a Senior Design Engineer based in Oxfordshire.

As Senior Design Engineer you will be responsible for leading a small team to design and develop a range of products for the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Responsibilities will include:

Leading design and development projects within the Engineering Department
Engineering design and development of innovative products
Tolerance analysis, FEA and DFMEAs
DFA and DFM
Developing and manufacturing of prototypes
Performing testing, documenting and developing new test procedures and internal testing standards
Performing engineering calculations, investigations and tasks as assigned

The key skills required for this role will be:

Degree educated within Mechanical Engineering or related engineering subject
Leadership experience
Consumer goods background would be ideal
Experience within SolidWorks
Experience of injection moulding, vac forming, sheet metal, metal pressing, machining and welding processes
Demonstrable ability to lead the development of innovative engineering product solutions.
Ability to complete small to moderately complex engineering assignments.
Competent performing engineering calculations
Ability to work on technical projects of varied complexity and size
