About The Role
In close cooperation with the Section Design Lead, manage consents delivery within the relevant section, supporting the Head of Design Consents Integration in leading, guiding and overseeing the Designers preparing documentation in respect to applying, negotiating and obtaining the various consents that are required, including Planning, Environmental Highway, Built Heritage and Archaeological at a section level.
Liaise with Design Delivery team in the section, Designers, EKFB planners/project controls and EKFB Interface team to ensure proper development, integration and reporting on schedule for consents and their links to the overall programme. This will include all Permanent and Temporary Works design consents.
Support the Head of Consents in managing the consents process for the section and understand the impacts of non-compliance.
Inform and coordinate consents delivery within a section, obtaining the relevant inputs, and agreement from the broader team.
Communicate the design changes necessary to achieve temporary and permanent works consents to the wider section team. Particularly important that Design, Construction and Environment teams are engaged.
Liaise with Design Delivery team, the Designers and HS2 SME, to lead and coordinate in a Section the management of design change due to consents from a holistic perspective, including their commercial implications, and facilitate the timely process of action and decision-making.
Support the commercial team on the consent related EWN, TQ and PMIs as appropriate in CEMAR.
Report and provide lessons learnt from the Section to a project level to promote a proactive approach to project-wide or recurring consent-related issues.
Engage effectively to support performance improvements across the business.
Support HS2 routewide initiatives
About The Candidate
Minimum 2:1 MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering / Project Management
Design Management, lead and oversee design consent piece min 8-10 years’ experience required
Project Management experience and working as part of multi-disciplinary design teams
Management skills and collaborative approach and sound communication skills.
Self-starter with disciplined approach to keep on top of multiple activities and contract administration burden
NEC3 and ArcGIS experience an advantage
