Senior Civil Engineer 

As a Senior Civil Engineer would you like to work for an engineering design consultancy who have a passion and the expertise in the design and delivery of high-quality award-winning high-rise buildings and structures?

The practice covers both structural and civil engineering aspects which include flood risk, drainage, SuDS and earthworks amongst others. The consultancy is at the forefront of the latest developments in hardware technology and maintain an impressive range of specialist software packages with all projects engineered with 3D BIM Revit software. Due to the growth of the business and new a stream of projects they are looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their Infrastructure team.

Responsabilities 

You will have strong knowledge of drainage design, particularly pertaining to building drainage, developing SuDS as well as highway design capability.

Experience with industry standard design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage.

Self-motivated and ability to work well as part of a team, offering support to the office principal as well as the ability to work independently as required.

Effective communication skills to prepare reports and liaise with project team members; Experience undertaking flood consequence assessments, working in a D&B environment and developer infrastructure projects would be highly desirable.

Ideally you will be professionally qualified or progressing towards a professional qualification and are looking for a company to support you.

The role is suitable for individuals who wish to develop to take on additional responsibility as their career progresses, and team leadership will be an option for the right candidate. 

Requirements

BEng, MSc in Civil Engineering, or relevant subject

4-7 years’ post-graduation experience producing detailed drainage design for development infrastructure projects or highways.

Good use of WinDes MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civils 3D would be advantageous.

Understanding of planning applications S38, S278, S106 would be advantageous.  

Excellent communications skills verbal and written.

Team player but also able to work with own initiative.

Package

£40k – £50k (depending on experience)
