Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Semi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer based in Stowe, Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate’s salary will be £25,740 to £28,665 (dependent on experience) + overtime + bonus.

Core hours are 8.00am to 17.30pm Monday – Friday.

As a Semi-Skilled Plant Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the business and you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a variety of small plant including utility vehicles within the fleet, ensuring that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it. In addition to this you will be responsible for making sure that all plant that goes out is in a clean and presentable standard.

Role Requirements

Demonstrate the knowledge, background and ability in understanding servicing and mechanical maintenance whether it be working on vehicles as a hobby or had experience with plant or agricultural machines in the past.
A valid driving licence is preferred.

Role Responsibilities

Keeps equipment available for hire by inspecting and testing plant.
Maintains plant in a serviceable condition by conducting inspections, replacing parts and components, and repairing body damage.
Verifies plant serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls.
Maintains plant appearance by cleaning and washing.
Maintains plant records by recording service and repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in Training opportunities.
Works within the requirements of the company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
