Planner required for an engineering and rail specialist. Working in both the public and private sectors. They have a renowned reputation for project delivery in the rail sector offering inception to completion on projects. Due to more project wins they are looking to recruit a Rail Planner to work on a permanent basis on Signalling and Telecommunications projects. This role can be based out of Milton Keynes, Warwick, Manchester and at Home
The Role
Providing planning services on major rail signalling and Telecommunications projects, including analysing and assessing construction phases
Preparing and maintaining project programmes, using P6
Reporting regularly on programme, resource and cost issues
Working with project team (including contractors and supply chain) to ensure clear understanding of project objectives
Seeking regular feedback and taking appropriate action
Being aware of, and compliant with, relevant H & S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team
About You
Proven ability in planning on P6 projects
Proven experience in project planning on Signalling and telecoms projects
Proven experience in working on projects within rail frameworks / Network Rail GRIP processes for project delivery
Previous experience in planning within rail civils projects
Good commercial awareness, including cost planning and budget management
Good people management and team working skills
Excellent communication skills
