Come join our Separators and Flow Technologies division as our next Sales Support Manager! You would support the Business Manager’s within the Equipment Sales Teams in the preparation of sales proposals, tenders, questionnaires together handling of initial inquiries prior to allocation and bid management of large / complex opportunities that require co-ordination and to oversee/manage Specific Projects as required.This role would be based in Milton Keynes and report to the Head of Separation and Homogenization Sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Technical Functions
*
Technical support to the Business Managers – Tenders, quotes, and projects
*
Handling of initial inquiries (initial vetting prior to allocation) & Preparation/vetting of customer proposals
*
Creation of and Management of Project Handover’s between Sales and Project Execution / Service
*
Project management of selected projects
*
Providing Bid Management function on large / complex bids and tenders
*
Technical liaison with the factory as required
*
Management of Warranty Claims (during initial Warranty Period) on relevant projects
*
Technical response to customer questions
Commercial Responsibilities
*
Responsible for reviewing Quotations pre issuance to Customer’s from a commercial (terms and conditions) view
*
Supporting Tender Submissions
*
Reviewing Orders received and raising any compliance issues.
*
Reviewing Customer credit status & advising appropriate payment milestones/terms
*
Negotiation in support of Contracts in accordance with Governance Procedures
*
Risk Management awareness – Commercial & Technical in relation to offers
*
Supporting Finance with information as required
*
Engaging with Legal, as required, for support and guidance on contractual matters
*
Escalation Point for Customers and Suppliers
Project Administration & Supporting Service Team (on request)
Providing cover for the Commercial Manager and admin function including:

Raising orders on SAP
*
Issuance of Customer Order Confirmations & Customer Invoices
*
Raising Supplier PO’s and processing Supplier Invoices etc.
*
Supporting general service/sales Ad-Hoc queries
Note: Some activities listed are also undertaken by Sales Administrator and Commercial Manager – as we have a small sales admin team and require cover for each role and during busy periods.
PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS
*
Minimum HNC in Engineering discipline with a technical practical experience
* Ideally Navy/Marine background
*
Commercial Negotiation, Contractual Awareness etc, would be a distinct advantage
*
Understanding of basic financial principals
*
Good Communication and Management Skills
*
Experience in Process Management
*
SAP and CRM knowledge – useful
*
MS Office competent
