Skills & Attributes:
* Have experience with the set-up, programming, operation and calibration of industrial robots and have experience of the monitoring and switching of additional external devices from the robot controller (interlocks, valves etc.)
* Experience with Kuka robots would be particularly beneficial although specific training can be provided
* Experience of the set-up and programming of industrial PLCs would also be considered advantageous
* Assist with the electrical set-up and installation of the industrial equipment (robotic equipment; welding equipment; in-house equipment)
* Be able to produce electrical specifications and schematics and oversee production of basic control equipment (valves, sensors, motors etc.)
* Provide electrical support with regard to cell design, construction, operation and maintenance which will involve both on-site and off-site working and working with clients for training purposes
* Be able to be involved in troubleshooting in the event of electrical issues as they arise
* Assist the AM operator / AM engineer as & when necessary in the calibration, setup and operation
* of machines prior to and during printing jobs
* Be involved in actively pursuing knowledge to progress to act as an AM Operator / AM Engineer to assist with part building when required and to be able to assist with training activities on- and off- site as required (CAD to build)
* Perform electrical maintenance of industrial equipment
* Maintain risk assessments
* Assist with equipment replacement, service, and repair
* Assist with laboratory supplies, particularly with regard to electrical equipment
* Maintain quality results by participating in quality assurance program; review quality control and quality assurance programs; suggest adjustments in policy and procedures; maintain records
* Recommend improvements actively
* Collaborate with the training of new employees
* Keep security and confidentiality
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Hours of Work:
* 37.5 hrs/week
* 9am to 5:30pm – Monday to Friday
* Flexitime is available, within reason
Benefits:
* 25 days holiday
* £25k – £30k p.a. baseline gross salary
* Pension contribution to up to 10% of gross salary towards pension – to be clarified at offer stage
* Bonuses up to 20% of gross salary – to be clarified at offer stage
