A business with an exciting product range and currently undergoing a push to aid a carbon neutral environment is seeking a Release Engineer to the join the business on a 12 month Contract basis.

This role is mostly remote, but you will be expected to be on-site once every fortnight.

The Release Engineer Role:

– Generate Change notes from Change requests raised by commodity engineers / owners, up revise parts and setup release process.
– Investigate and check Windchill BOM and Excel BOM are aligned – Excel being phased out / reduce dependency.
– Provide support to other non-engineering teams with using Windchill to reduce dependency on excel BOMS. (Basic how-to guidance)
– Produce / maintain top level assemblies in Creo – knowledge and use of skeleton model / location plains / datums advantageous.
– Work with Commodity owners to setup models with new datums as and where needed.
– Raise issues with commodity owners of part clashes / CAD assembly issues when needed.
– Support design review meetings with CAD presentation

The successful Release Engineer:

– Windchill/Creo PTC experience required (further training can be provided on specific setup)
– Engineering background required
– Familiarity with product design life cycle (PLM)
– Self-motivation, time management and proactive prioritisation essential
– Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team

This role is assessed as within IR35 and as such candidates must be paid PAYE or Umbrella PAYE.

PAYE = £27.50 / hr

Umbrella Gross = £36.60 / hr
