Receptionist (level 2)
Temp – 3 mths – possible extension
Salary – £14.36 per hour
Description:
For the Milton Keynes site we're looking for a Receptionist
This role is likely to be for a period of only 3 months.
Dependent on the candidate, there could be an option to move into a permanent position but we are also looking at other sourcing options for what will eventually be a Permanent Site Administrator role.
Therefore, if the candidate we find is highly competent in Admin duties as well as those of Receptionist, there is that possibility to go Perm – but initial expectation is a short, 3 month contract – starting ASAP.
Job Summary:
Receives visitors and supports individual, department or site staff by promptly, courteously and accurately addressing requests for assistance.
Performs activities under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Acts as the organization's first point of contact for visitors and/or callers while ensuring professional communication.
Receives and directs calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
Welcomes visitors, ensures and maintains proper sign-in documents and explains/follows safety procedures.
Completes all incoming and outgoing mail requirements, including courier services and manages maintenance of the postage machine as applicable.
Schedules appointments, meetings and books conference rooms.
Orders lunch for both employees and visitors.
Manages the office supplies stockroom, places office supplies orders and maintains effective administration.
Contacts vendors and suppliers as requested to advise of plant/site shutdowns and other disruptions in service.
Maintains badges for new hires, contractors and visitors.
Supports administrative projects as assigned.
Provides other administrative support activities where required.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience:
Requires some Receptionist and Administrative work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
At least an intermediate level of experience is required in the Microsoft Office Suite.
