Insight Employment are seeking a Quality/Warranty Automotive Inspection Engineer to head up a small but efficient team for a client based in Milton Keynes.

The job would be to batch check, inspect and report on engine parts that have been produced to our exacting standards and prove that they match with the associated drawings & samples.

Report all findings through our internal systems and follow these through to a positive result. This may incur liaison with the customers for warranty issues and direct contact with the manufacturing partners or through the purchase director.

The inspection of warranty parts would be necessary, and reports offered against the products and associated parts. It would entail a “rolling your sleeves up" approach on occasions but all within the tech office.

Organising rectification work would also be part of the remit. The understanding of "CMM" (COORDINATE-MEASURING MACHINES) would be advantageous along with CAD manufacturing process through CNC manufacturing processes.

Ideal Candidate: –

* A team player

* Be competent and able to complete the task

* Methodical in your approach

* Have a good understanding of excel/word/Gmail/CAD

Would be an advantage: –

* Essential – working with excel, word and being able to report failure & findings

* Has the ability to analyses and fault find automotive engine parts

* A good understanding of engine components and their workings

* Being able to read production or design drawings

* Used the CAD programme previously

* CMM working knowledge or good understanding

* Measuring equipment – hardness testers, camshaft profiles, Micrometres, use of campro plus – training will be given to the right candidate

Salary: –

30-35K per annum depending on experience
